Hello boys and girls! If we were to expand to make StickLAN lots bigger, we would probably need to take over a hall for the numbers. LOCATION - Tony Clark Reserve PROS Big-arse tables - these tables are difficult to transport and could only be used at this location. Dividable Rooms - the two division walls in the meeting rooms would be best for Clan battles. 2nd Storey - The upper level can have a cable run up to provide a good place for admin to watch over proceedings in the basketball court, or we can jam more people there. CONS Power - we would need an electrician to bring the ampage to something more usable to us. extension cords and 3-phase power are our friends. I think Whitey said he could arrange for an electrician to do this for us at a reduced price (or free), but it is a matter of if they would let us mod the building in this fashion :) If we could get the people to come, it would be only a problem of raising enough capital (loot) to be able to buy the equipment needed. We would need to look at funding from the council or a youth group (and then the 'no file-sharing') or from an indepent, which practically won't exist. It is a fairly hefty undertaking, and I wouldn't like to do it as a main organiser due to the legal implications of the game sharing and such. It's all very well and good to say 'nar, she'll be fine, just do it', but it's not your necks on the line... This may be a future for StickLAN, but right now it's a reliable event that holds more than your average house. If it were to expand, it would need your help. If we could get the money from people a while before the event, and have confirmed numbers, we could improve the events by leaps and bounds. What do you lot say to paying one month early for events and paying via Paypal(tm)?
